Wyndham–Caesars Status Match

Wyndham Rewards and Caesars Rewards run a dedicated, two-way elite status match separate from Wyndham’s general status match program. Caesars Platinum, Diamond, and Seven Stars members can match into Wyndham, and Wyndham Platinum and Diamond members can match into Caesars, but only if that Wyndham status came from actually staying nights, not just from holding a co-branded card.

The Tier Mapping

The match runs the other way too: Wyndham Platinum members can match to Caesars Platinum, and Wyndham Diamond members can match to Caesars Diamond. Notice that Seven Stars, Caesars’ invite-only top tier, matches to the same Wyndham Diamond level as regular Diamond members. There’s no higher Wyndham level it unlocks.

Caesars to Wyndham: What You Need

You need active Platinum, Diamond, or Seven Stars status in Caesars Rewards, and an account in good standing. Gold members don’t qualify at all, no matter how close they are to Platinum. You’ll also need to be, or become, a Wyndham Rewards member, which is free and takes a minute if you don’t already have an account.

Wyndham to Caesars: The February 2025 Catch

This direction used to be a popular workaround: sign up for a Wyndham co-branded credit card that granted automatic Platinum or Diamond status, then match that status straight into Caesars for casino perks without ever staying at a Wyndham hotel or setting foot in a casino. Wyndham closed that loophole effective February 1, 2025. Platinum and Diamond members can now only match into Caesars if they earned that level the normal way, staying qualifying nights at Wyndham properties. Status level granted purely by holding a card no longer qualifies.

In practice, that means you need 15 real qualifying nights at Wyndham hotels for Platinum, or 40 for Diamond, before this direction of the match is available to you.

How to Apply

1. Go to the status match page on either the Wyndham or Caesars site, depending on which direction you’re matching.
2. Sign in to your existing account, or create one if you don’t have it yet.
3. Enter your loyalty number from the other program, along with your date of birth, zip code, and email.
4. Submit the request.

You’ll get an email confirmation within 24 to 48 hours, but the full verification can take up to 14 business days. If you’re planning a trip where the matched status matters, apply at least two weeks ahead rather than the week before you travel.

What Caesars Platinum and Diamond Actually Get You

The waived resort fees and 15% rate discount are the two Diamond perks that add up fastest if you’re actually gambling and staying at Caesars properties regularly. The Atlantis stay and cruise discounts are available at both tiers, so Platinum isn’t a throwaway status if Diamond is out of reach.

How Long Does the Matched Status Last?

A Wyndham level obtained through this match expires December 31 of the calendar year you received it, regardless of when during the year you applied. Match in October and you still lose it on December 31 unless you’ve separately earned the qualifying nights to keep it. You’ll need to reapply for a fresh match starting February 1 of the following year if you still qualify.

Not the Same as Wyndham’s General Status Match

Wyndham separately runs a broader status match program (linked at the top of this article) that accepts elite status from Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and other major chains. That program is worth knowing about, but it doesn’t connect to Caesars: a Wyndham level obtained by matching in from a different hotel program cannot then be used to match into Caesars Rewards. The Caesars relationship only recognizes Wyndham status earned directly, whether through nights or (on the Caesars-to-Wyndham side) through the standard match process described above.

Is It Worth Doing?

If you already hold real status on either side, yes, it’s free and takes a few minutes. Caesars members heading to a Wyndham property get a recognized status with no extra cost. Wyndham members who’ve genuinely earned Platinum or Diamond through nights get a free path into Caesars’ parking, resort-fee, and dining perks for any Las Vegas or regional casino trips already on the calendar. It’s not worth restructuring your travel around, since the benefits on the Caesars side lean toward casino-adjacent perks rather than pure hotel value, but as a zero-cost add-on to status you already have, there’s no real downside.

A Worked Example

Say you stayed 42 qualifying nights at Wyndham properties this year through actual paid or points bookings, putting you at Wyndham Diamond. You match that into Caesars Rewards Diamond in early November. From that point through December 31, you get waived resort fees and a 15% rate discount on any Caesars-family property you book, whether that’s a Vegas trip already planned or a regional property near home.

Come January 1, that Caesars Diamond status is gone unless Caesars recognizes it through its own qualifying activity. You’d need to reapply for the match starting February 1 if your Wyndham nights for the new year get you back to Diamond, or if you’ve built Caesars status directly by then.

Why This Partnership Exists

Wyndham and Caesars aren’t owned by the same parent company, but the tie-up gives each program a reason to pull in the other’s frequent travelers. Caesars properties benefit from Wyndham’s much larger hotel-only member base discovering their casino resorts, and Wyndham gets a foothold with travelers who might otherwise never book a Wyndham-branded hotel outside a casino trip. The February 2025 tightening suggests Wyndham was more interested in rewarding people who actually stay at its hotels than in handing out casino perks to anyone who’d opened a credit card.
