United Airlines holds promotions with award flights for the week “A week of surprise flight deals”. Every day, Monday through Friday, check the United app or sign up for text messages and discover a fare sale to different countries.
The offer will run from August 4, 2025 to August 8, 2025.
How does it work?
A year ago, from August 5, 2024, to August 9, 2024, we already saw a somewhat similar offer.
The sale was exclusive to MileagePlus frequent flyer members, allowing them to purchase round-trip tickets from the United States to unexpected international destinations for as low as 50,000 miles (plus taxes and fees starting at $194.60).
To take advantage of the discounted fares, travelers needed to log in to their United MileagePlus account, select their departure city and announced surprise destination, enter their travel dates, and click submit – the fares were automatically discounted in the system.
Highlights of the offer
- Tickets must be booked daily by 11:59 p.m. Central European Time.
- To participate in the program, you must be a member of the United MileagePlus program.
- Awards are valid for travel Sunday through Saturday in Economy Class (Coach) on United/United Express flights. Some flights may be operated by United Express partners: Air Wisconsin, CommuteAir, GoJet Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Republic Airways or SkyWest Airlines; or may be operated under a codeshare agreement, such as Silver Airways.
- Award prices may vary for different members, including based on MileagePlus membership status. Members must log in using their MileagePlus number to book awards. Offer valid only for new award bookings.

The Week Of Award Offers From United Has Started!
Day 1. Tahiti
United Chase cardmembers can travel to Tahiti the U.S. for 30,000 miles one-way, plus taxes and fees starting at $64.61*.
Award Terms and Conditions:
- Promotion valid for travel between the mainland U.S. and Tahiti (PPT).
- Tickets: Tickets must be purchased by August 4, 2025.
- Travel Period: Travel must be completed between August 27, 2025 and December 10, 2025.
Day 2. Taipei and Kaohsiung
On the second day, you can travel to Taiwan (TPE, KHH) at a promotional price of 40,000 miles one way. Taxes and government fees for premium travel from the US to Taiwan Taoyuan (TPE) start at $40.11 round trip, and from the US to Kaohsiung (KHH) start at $54.01 round trip.

Day 3. Beijing, Shanghai or Hong Kong
On the third day, there is an offer to travel to China & Hong Kong (PEK, PVG, HKG) at a promotional price of 40,000 miles one way. Taxes and government fees for premium travel from the United States to Beijing (PEK) start at $36.01 round-trip, from the United States to Shanghai Pudong (PVG) start at $36.01 round-trip, and from the United States to Hong Kong (HKG) start at $67.71 round-trip.

We are monitoring which destinations will become available next.
Conclusion
This promotion is somewhat different from those we have seen before. There are no strict requirements for minimum stay or advance purchase. The promotional price is only valid for United Chase co-branded cardholders.
This week, you can save at least 5,000 miles on a one-way Economy Class ticket. However, on some dates and routes, the discount may exceed 50%.
