IHG One Rewards has opened registration for a global “Up to 3X” promotion running October 1–December 31, 2025. After you register, your second qualifying stay earns 2× points, and your third stay and every stay after earns 3× points, capped at 70,000 bonus points for the period. This is a paid-stay promotion with simple rules and a clear ceiling.
What’s on Offer
You can pre-register Sept 16–30 or register any time during the promo window. The bonus is calculated off base points only (not elite or other promos). Reward Nights and Points & Cash don’t qualify. OTA bookings (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.) don’t count either. There’s a $30+ per night minimum spend for a stay to qualify, and only one room per night per member will be counted for the promo. Bonus points aren’t elite-qualifying.

- 2X on your second stay = base + promo equals twice your base points for that stay.
- 3X on your third stay onward = base + promo equals three times your base points for each stay.
- 70,000 is the total bonus you can earn from this promo across all your stays.
Why it’s Useful
Unlike targeted offers, this one is open to all members who register. If you’ve got work trips or a fall getaway, you’ll get a meaningful boost after your first stay—then the triple-points accelerator kicks in. Independent coverage confirms the structure and timing and notes the main caveat: no bonus on the first stay.
Smart Ways to Play It
Keep your first stay short and cheap to unlock the 2X tier. Put your longer or pricier stays third or later to benefit from 3X. Book direct with IHG on a qualifying rate, and double-check the rate type before checkout to avoid non-qualifying categories. If you hold an IHG co-branded card, remember your card multipliers stack on top of base points (the promo bonus still keys off base only).
Some members are also seeing a concurrent targeted offer for double elite night credits (up to 10 bonus nights) in the same window. If it shows in your account, register separately—it focuses on elite nights, while Up to 3X boosts points, so they can be complementary. Terms vary by target.
What doesn’t count (easy pitfalls)
- Reward Nights / Points & Cash are excluded.
- OTA bookings don’t qualify.
- Multiple rooms on the same night still count as one for promo purposes.
- Some Six Senses/Iberostar locations don’t fully participate in benefits (points may post but benefits can be limited). Check the hotel page if you’re unsure.
