The partnership between IHG and Emirates Skywards offers a promotional offer. Let’s take a look at what it entails. You can earn triple (3Х) miles for staying at eligible IHG hotels worldwide. You must register and book your room by November 30, 2025, and your stay must be completed by February 28, 2026. The offer is limited to 15,000 bonus miles, and you must book your room at a qualifying rate through the official Emirates booking page. Please note that bonus nights do not count.

How Triple Miles Actually Work
IHG’s standard Skywards earn is 2 miles per $1 at most brands (and 1 mile per $1 at Candlewood Suites & Staybridge Suites). During the promo, your total (base + bonus) equals 3× the base earn for eligible room spend and eligible on-property charges billed to your room.
| Brand type | Normal earn | Promo total (3×) | Example: $250 eligible folio |
|---|---|---|---|
| Most IHG brands | 2 miles / $1 | 6 miles / $1 | 1,500 miles |
| Candlewood / Staybridge | 1 mile / $1 | 3 miles / $1 | 750 miles |
| The Venetian (Las Vegas/Macao)* | 500 miles / stay | 1,500 miles / stay | 1,500 miles (per stay) |
The promo bonus is capped at 15,000 miles. You can keep earning base miles beyond that, but no additional promo miles once the cap is reached.

Step-by-Step: Do This
- Register for the promo (free) by Nov 30, 2025.
- In your IHG One Rewards profile, set your earning preference to Emirates Skywards (otherwise base miles won’t post).
- Book through the official Emirates | Skywards IHG page (www.ihg.com/EmiratesTripleMiles) on a Qualifying Rate, by Nov 30, 2025. OTAs (Expedia, Booking, etc.) and award stays (Reward Nights / Points & Cash) do not qualify.
- Complete stays by Feb 28, 2026 and charge incidentals to your room to earn miles on them (where eligible).
- Wait up to 6 weeks after checkout for miles to post.
What Counts (and What Doesn’t)
Counts: Qualifying stays booked via the official Emirates page on eligible rates; your first room only if you booked multiple rooms for the same nights.
Doesn’t count: Reward nights, Points & Cash, bookings via OTAs/third parties, stays completed before registration, and nights outside the promo window.
FAQs
Can I earn both IHG points and Skywards miles on the same stay?
No. When you choose Skywards miles as your earning preference (required for this promo), you don’t earn IHG points for that stay.
Do award stays count?
No — Reward Nights and Points & Cash are excluded.
How To Further Increase the Benefits of This Offer
When you set your IHG profile to earn Emirates Skywards miles, you’ll earn 3× Skywards miles on eligible folio spend from the promo (up to the cap), but you won’t earn IHG One Rewards points for that stay. However, your IHG credit card earns separately from the hotel program, so you’ll still get the card’s multiplier on IHG purchases (e.g., Premier/Premier Business typically 10× at IHG; Traveler typically 5× at IHG — check your card’s current terms). You’ll also still earn Elite Qualifying Nights if the rate is qualifying, since EQNs are tied to the stay, not whether you chose miles or points.
Bottom Line
If you like Emirates Skywards more than IHG points at the moment, and you can book before Nov 30, here’s a simple trick to get more miles on IHG stays, especially if you stay at their fancier hotels, where you spend a bit. Just stick to the rules, remember the 15,000-mile limit, and double-check your earning settings before you check in.
