Amtrak Guest Rewards is now a Bilt Rewards transfer partner, effective September 23, 2026. It’s Bilt’s first and only rail partner, and the 26th travel partner in the Bilt ecosystem overall.
The Details
- Transfer ratio: 2 Bilt points to 1 Amtrak Guest Rewards point. That’s weaker than Bilt’s usual 1:1 ratio with most airline and hotel partners, because Amtrak points carry a higher intrinsic value than a typical mile.
- Minimum transfer: 1,000 Bilt points for Silver, Gold, or Platinum status members; 2,000 Bilt points for Blue (base) status members.
- Increments: transfers move in 1,000-Bilt-point increments after the minimum is met.
- Speed: Bilt says transfers complete near-instantly once initiated.
- Redemption floor: Amtrak awards start as low as 400 Amtrak Guest Rewards points, which works out to 800 transferred Bilt points at the 2:1 rate.
What This Means
Amtrak’s network covers more than 500 destinations across 46 states and parts of Canada, a footprint that doesn’t overlap much with Bilt’s existing airline and hotel partners. For members who already use rent payments to build a Bilt balance, this adds a genuinely new use case, regional and commuter train trips, rather than just another way to book the same flights and hotel stays other transfer partners already cover.
