Bilt Cash Is Replacing Milestone Rewards: What Changes on Jan 1, 2026

Starting January 1, 2026, Bilt will end Milestone Rewards and introduce Bilt Cash, a fixed-value currency you earn in addition to Bilt points: you’ll get $50 in Bilt Cash every time you earn 25,000 Bilt points. Bilt Cash redeems at $1 = $1 inside Bilt’s ecosystem (local “Neighborhood” merchants via Mobile Checkout, hotels in the Bilt Travel Portal, fitness classes, Home Delivery) and can unlock one-time access to certain elite-style perks (e.g., upgraded status for Rent Day transfer bonuses).

What exactly is changing?

Instead of those rotating choose–one perks you get every 25,000 points (like double points or Lyft multipliers), Bilt will now give you $50 in Bilt Cash each time you hit that 25,000–point mark. And this is on top of the points you already got!

This change starts on January 1, 2026.

So, what can you do with this Bilt Cash? You can use it at local stores that are part of Bilt’s Mobile Checkout, book hotels on the Bilt Travel Portal, purchase fitness classes, and use Home Delivery. Plus, Bilt Cash can also get you special access to perks based on your status, like a better transfer bonus on Rent Day, early access to experiences, or Home Away From Home access if you’re a Blue or Silver member.

What about any Milestone Rewards you already have? If you’ve claimed them, they’ll stay active until they expire. If you haven’t used them, they’ll expire at the end of the year as Bilt switches over to Bilt Cash. Check Bilt’s site for all the details and fine print coming soon.

The Value Math

Earning rate: Every 25,000 Bilt points you earn triggers $50 Bilt Cash → an incremental 0.20¢ per point.

Examples:

  • Earn 50,000 points this year → $100 Bilt Cash (plus your 50k points).
  • Earn 100,000 points → $200 Bilt Cash.

Because Bilt Cash is fixed value inside the Bilt network, it’s a reliable “rebate-like” value for members who actually use neighborhood merchants, Bilt Travel Portal hotels, fitness, or delivery.

Bilt Cash vs. Milestone Rewards

A fixed cash amount outweighs “potentially useful” options. If you’ve never used Milestone promotions (e.g., 2× categories with restrictions, 10× Lyft for multiple rides), then straight cash is more straightforward and easier to use. Plus, if you frequently eat out, shop, or book hotels through Bilt, $1 = $1 is hassle-free and adds to your points for future transfers.

If you squeezed outsized value from Milestone picks (e.g., time-boxed 2× categories or “advance 5,000 points toward status”), you might miss specific levers that aren’t part of Bilt Cash. (Those were the hallmark options under Milestones in 2024–2025.)

Milestone Rewards were choice-rich but uneven; Bilt Cash is consistent and spendable. Whether it’s “better” depends on how often you capitalized on the old menu of perks.

Does Bilt Cash replace Bilt points?

No—Bilt points remain the core currency (and still transfer to travel partners). Bilt Cash is additional.

Is Bilt Cash transferable to airlines/hotels or cash-out to a bank?

No. It’s fixed-value inside Bilt’s ecosystem, plus one-time access to certain perks.

What about my Milestone Rewards right now?

Use them: claimed Milestones remain valid until expiration; unused ones expire at year end.
