Frontier’s Discount Den is a paid membership that unlocks lower fares at flyfrontier.com — separate from the free Frontier Miles program and from the GoWild! Pass. Here’s what it actually costs, what you get, and when it pays for itself.
What Discount Den Actually Is
Discount Den is an annual subscription that gives members access to a separate, cheaper set of fares — DISCOUNT DEN fares — that aren’t visible to non-members at all. It’s not a status tier and it doesn’t replace Frontier Miles; you still earn Travel Miles and Elite Status Points on every flight you book, membership or not.
Discount Den Pricing
- New members: $109.99 for the first year ($59.99 annual membership + a $50 enrollment fee).
- Renewal: $59.99 a year, billed automatically at the then-current renewal price — no enrollment fee on renewal.
- Promotional pricing: Frontier periodically runs a reduced new-member rate (recently $69.99 with the enrollment fee cut to $10). These deals come and go, so check flyfrontier.com before paying full price.
- Free or discounted for elites: Platinum members get 50% off Discount Den (new enrollment or renewal). Diamond members get it free.
What You Get With a Membership
- Discounted fares year-round on flights booked at flyfrontier.com or the app — Discount Den fares aren’t available to non-members at any price.
- Kids Fly Free: one child under 15 flies free for each adult Discount Den fare purchased, on select dates and routes (blackout dates apply, and this is a rotating promotional perk, not a permanent guarantee).
- Book for a group: you can apply your Discount Den fares to yourself and up to 8 other travelers on the same reservation.
- Early access to new routes, sales, and promotions before the general public sees them.
- Lowest Fare Guarantee: applies when flyfrontier.com shows both a Discount Den fare and a public fare for the same flight, date, and time — subject to seat availability and excluding GoWild Pass fares.
Is Discount Den Worth It?
Run the math against your actual travel pattern rather than assuming. If you fly Frontier even a couple of times a year, Discount Den fares frequently undercut public fares by $10–$40+ per flight — enough to clear the $59.99 renewal cost in one or two round trips. The $109.99 first-year price (with the $50 enrollment fee) is a tougher bar to clear in year one, so it makes the most sense if you’re already planning multiple Frontier trips in the next 12 months, or if you can catch one of the discounted new-member promos.
If you only fly Frontier once a year or less, it’s usually not worth joining just for that one trip — compare the Discount Den fare you’d actually get against the public fare before paying the enrollment fee.
Discount Den vs. the GoWild! Pass
These solve different problems. Discount Den lowers the price of normal, planned flights all year for a flat annual fee. The GoWild! Pass is built for last-minute, high-frequency flying within a fixed season — you pay a much larger flat fee upfront, then fly for pennies plus taxes, but booking windows are short (as little as a day out domestically) and blackout dates are common. Occasional, planned travelers want Discount Den; frequent, spontaneous travelers who can book on short notice get more out of GoWild.
